Midday Micro Wedding in the Smoky Mountains – Megan and Tom

Midday Micro Wedding in the Smoky Mountains

Megan and Tom – July 21, 2023

Love and laughter filled the air as Megan and Tom celebrated their intimate micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow. The chapel was adorned in elegant navy and blush, harmonizing beautifully with our blush and bashful florals, creating a romantic and dreamy ambiance.
Megan looked absolutely stunning in her blush dress with delicate cap sleeves, exuding grace and elegance. Tom was every bit the dashing groom in navy pants, a patterned dress shirt, and a matching navy tie.
Before the ceremony, Megan and Tom shared a heartfelt first look beside the ready room, savoring a precious moment together before saying “I do.” She was joined by her brother and brother-in-law, both beaming with pride as they walked her down the aisle. The love and support from their loved ones added an extra layer of warmth to their special day. Capturing the joyful essence of the day, we managed to get all the kiddos in one adorable photo. But the real magic happened when I convinced them there was a tiny dinosaur inside my camera that they just had to see! The excitement and curiosity on their faces were simply priceless, and they all wanted to get close to check it out. Tom, not a fan of photos, warmed up with a dose of humor and lots of promises of “wifey snuggles” along with a few playful dirty jokes. Laughter and joy became the heart of the photo session, making for some truly memorable and candid shots.
We had the absolute pleasure of getting to know Megan and Tom throughout the day, and it was evident that their love story was filled with genuine warmth and affection. Their personalities shone brightly, creating an atmosphere of fun and relaxation that made every moment a true delight. Cheers to Megan and Tom, a couple whose love is as beautiful as it is real. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness, love, and cherished memories as they embark on this new chapter of their lives together.
From the Bride:
We met back in 2011 after my best friends wedding. I (Megan) was wearing my maid of honor dress and my friends wanted to see it so i stopped by where they were and Tom happened to be with his friend, who was dating my friend. He slipped me some money to play “some Brittney Spears” on the jukebox (he over heard me and my friends talking) and that started our story. We have been together since that day. For our first date, we went out for a few drinks and food. He met some of my friends, and we had a really chill night of laughter and fun!
Tom proposed to me on our 10 year anniversary. He took me out on a Pontoon Boat on Norris Lake and he had climbed the mountain edge side, and had a sign hanging from a railroad bridge over the water, and when we passed under the bridge, he had me turn and look at the sign while getting the ring out of his pocket. I was completely surprised. July 21 is our anniversary date. So we will be getting married on our 12 year anniversary.
I am looking forward to marrying my best friend on our 12 year anniversary! For fun, we love outdoor activities, our animals, and our kids. Anything on the lake, traveling and finding the best food places we can!
