Soft. Sweet. Sparkly. Brittany and Nick’s fairytale micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was pure magic in the Smoky Mountains. Their day was filled with romantic details, heartfelt family moments, and just the right amount of enchantment.
A Dreamy Chapel Setup
For their ceremony, Brittany and Nick chose a whimsical mix of cream draping and white florals to dress the chapel. To add extra sparkle, they included glowing candles lining the aisle and additional florals on the steps, creating the feeling of a storybook forest wedding.
The Bride + Groom
Brittany looked like a true forest princess in her gown from Vow’d—a soft, off-the-shoulder design with embroidered leaves and a glittery skirt that shimmered with every step. Her glittering veil added the perfect finishing touch.
Nick complemented her look perfectly in a deep green suit, a stylish choice that blended personality and charm while tying into the natural setting.
Family-Centered Ceremony
One of the most beautiful aspects of this micro wedding was how family played a role in every moment. His mom, bonus dad, and sister helped bring the chapel to life, while her mom and sister helped her get ready. Brittany’s father proudly walked her down the aisle, and Nick’s brother-in-law officiated the ceremony.
They even included a ring warming ceremony, inviting each guest to hold their rings and bless them with love and good wishes. This symbolic ritual made the day even more meaningful.
Sweet Details + Portraits
After exchanging vows, Brittany and Nick shared a sweet surprise by gifting their officiant a special present. Then, they took family photos at the chapel before exploring the property for couple’s portraits. From laughter-filled moments under the trees to romantic snuggles in the field with a breathtaking mountain view, their photos captured the perfect mix of romance and fun.
From the Bride:
We met playing video games. We were best friends for a while and we’d go weeks without talking to each other because we suck at texting back. Eventually I (Brittany) started talking to him constantly because I had the fattest crush on him. Once we kinda realized we had feelings for each other, we talked more and I told him before we were even dating that we were going to get married, which in any other circumstance would’ve been a huge red flag 🚩 from me but I wasn’t wrong. We’re getting married on our 4 year anniversary.
The first date was us going to this island called Put-in-Bay but we accidentally got off the boat on the wrong island. That’s when we realized neither one of us would freak out over mistakes. We just laughed it off and figured out a way to the next island.
Nick proposed. I moved to Ohio from Kentucky for him. So he got my mom and my sister and nieces to come to Ohio for mine and my nieces birthday. He told me he got us a photography session to get family pictures and I knew what was going to happen. But it still didn’t change how much I cried. So all my engagement pictures are of me sobbing lol
We’ve got family everywhere. We’ve got family in Florida, Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan, so we decided instead of some people having to travel and some people not traveling, that we would just have everyone travel lol. It was my moms idea though, she got married in Tennessee also.
We LOVE legos. We love to build lego sets and if y’all know anything about legos I just bought him the Lego Rivendell set which costs like $500 lol. That’s our biggest hobby we share. We love horror tv shows. We go on way more dates than a typical couple but we just can’t get enough of each other and we both work in the hospitals so we work 12 hour shifts but we have lots of days off to go on dates.
