Romantic Intimate Wedding
Cami and Brogan – August 15, 2026
There’s just something special about a wedding day that feels completely centered around the people getting married.
No enormous guest list. No need to turn the day into a giant production. Just your favorite people gathered together, a beautiful place to say your vows, and plenty of room for all of those sweet little moments that happen when you aren’t rushing from one thing to the next.
Cami and Brogan’s romantic intimate wedding was exactly that.
Their summer wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was soft and dreamy, with blush details, candlelight, a gorgeous forest backdrop, and some seriously adorable family moments. But it wasn’t too serious or formal, either. There were bride and groom sunglasses involved, after all.
Basically, they found the perfect balance.
A Soft and Romantic Forest Wedding
Cami and Brogan chose a dreamy combination of white and blush fabric to dress the chapel, pairing it with our blush and bashful florals.
They added our candle package around the chapel and lavender wreaths along the pews, and the finished look was SO pretty.
Blush is one of those wedding colors that just works beautifully in the forest. The pale pinks and creams stood out against all of the rich summer greenery without competing with it, while the candles added another layer of romance to the space.
It was delicate and feminine but still felt natural—a perfect backdrop for the intimate wedding they had planned.
And then it was time to get the bride ready.
Getting Ready With Her Bestie
Cami had her bestie there to help with the finishing touches before the ceremony, which is always one of my favorite parts of a small wedding day.
When you have an intimate wedding, you can really be intentional about who gets to share these moments with you. Instead of having a room packed with people, sometimes it’s just you and someone who has been there through all the chapters that came before this one.
Cami looked absolutely beautiful.
She chose a sleeveless wedding dress with a long, flowing train that looked amazing against the forest floor. Her pearl-studded veil added just the right amount of detail without taking away from the dress.
The entire look felt romantic, classic, and a little whimsical—which fit the setting perfectly.
Brogan went with something completely different, and I loved the contrast. He kept his wedding-day style country and classic with jeans, a crisp white dress shirt, a vest, and a cowboy hat.
Together, they looked like them, and that will always beat feeling like you have to dress a certain way just because you’re getting married.
A First Look With Dad…and Her Son
Before the ceremony began, Cami planned a first look with two very important guys in her life: her dad and her son. And yes, it was every bit as sweet as you’re imagining.
First looks aren’t only for couples. One of the best things about planning a smaller, more personal wedding is having the space to include little moments like these.
There’s something so special about letting a parent see you completely ready before the ceremony begins—and adding your child into that moment makes it even sweeter. For just a few minutes, everything else could wait. Then it was finally time to get married.
Cami’s dad walked her down the aisle through the forest and toward Brogan. And Brogan?
Brogan literally gasped.
THAT Reaction
Listen.
There are wedding-day reactions, and then there are wedding-day reactions.
Brogan reaction when he saw Cami walking toward him was absolutely one of my favorite moments from their ceremony.
He actually gasped when he saw her.
I LOVE moments like this because they’re completely unscripted. You can’t plan them. You can’t really recreate them. They’re just this tiny fraction of a second when someone forgets there are other people around and reacts to seeing the person they love. And after spending all that time choosing your dress, getting your hair just right, putting on your veil, and wondering what your partner is going to think when they finally see you? Having them look at you like you are the most incredible thing they’ve ever seen is a pretty fantastic payoff.
Cami and Brogan exchanged their vows surrounded by the people closest to them, with the chapel tucked into the summer forest around them.
It was simple.
It was emotional.
And it was very, very them.
Family Photos and a Little Bit of Fun
After the ceremony, we gathered everyone together at the chapel for family photos.
With smaller weddings, this part of the day tends to feel a little less chaotic than it can at a traditional large wedding. There aren’t 147 people wandering off to cocktail hour while someone desperately tries to locate Uncle Bob.
Everyone is already right there.
We were able to document Cami and Brogan with the people who had come to celebrate with them before switching gears and focusing on the newlyweds.
And that is when the sunglasses came out.
Cami and Brogan had brought bride and groom sunglasses along for their wedding photos, and obviously we were going to use them.
Because romantic intimate wedding does not have to translate to stare lovingly into each other’s eyes for two straight hours.
You can have the emotional ceremony. You can have the gorgeous dress. You can have the pearl veil and the candles and the dreamy florals. And you can also put on ridiculous sunglasses and laugh with your new spouse.
Actually, I highly recommend it.
Romantic Wedding Photos in the Woods
Once we finished at the chapel, we headed into the trees for more photos of Cami and Brogan together. We stopped at the mossy tree, which looked especially magical surrounded by all of the lush summer greenery, and then made our way over to the vines.
The forest was GREEN green—the kind of deep, vibrant color that you only get during summer in East Tennessee. Against all of that greenery, Cami’s white dress and long train absolutely popped, while Brogan’s country-inspired wedding attire kept everything feeling relaxed and natural.
But the best part of their portraits wasn’t really the scenery. It was them. They could relax. They could laugh. They could snuggle up together. They could be a little silly.
And they had time to actually enjoy being newly married.
Sweet, Romantic, and Completely Them
Cami and Brogan’s wedding had so many of my favorite things about intimate weddings rolled into one afternoon.
There were sweet family moments.
There was a dad walking his daughter down the aisle.
There was an absolutely priceless groom reaction.
There were soft blush florals, candlelight, lavender wreaths, a pearl-studded veil, and a chapel surrounded by the summer forest.
And there were silly bride and groom sunglasses.
Because those things absolutely belong at the same wedding.
Romantic doesn’t have to mean serious.
Intimate doesn’t have to mean boring.
And a smaller wedding definitely doesn’t have to feel like you’re missing out on anything.
Sometimes the best wedding days are the ones where you gather the people who matter most, keep the parts you actually care about, skip the things you don’t, and give yourselves enough space to really experience it all.
Cami and Brogan did exactly that.
Congratulations, you two!! ❤️
From the Bride:
We met at a study group in our first semester at Bowling Green State University. For the first date, we went out to a Mexican restaurant and watched Zombieland 2. We then spent the night walking around campus and looking at the stars. Brogan proposed while we were doing family pictures. We chose East Tennessee for our romantic intimate wedding because we wanted to get married in the mountains. We are most looking forward to being able to call each other man and wife.
