Wintry Evening Elopement – Natalie and Matthew

Wintry Evening Elopement

Natalie and Matthew – December 1, 2023

Natalie and Matt’s dreamy wintry evening elopement unfolded at Chapel in the Hollow, a moment they eagerly anticipated for 14 months!
The chapel, dressed in the cozy hues of cream and navy, came alive with our enchanting blueberry winter florals, perfectly complemented by the warm glow of our lantern package.
Natalie looked absolutely stunning in her off-the-shoulder white dress from Azazie, featuring a flowy bottom without a train. Her choice of gorgeous pearl-covered flats added a touch of elegance to her ensemble.
Adding sentimental charm, Matt’s mother gifted each of her children a set of pearls from New York, and Matt lovingly chose to share this precious token by gifting them to Natalie to wear on their special day. Matt looked dapper in a white dress shirt, brown vest, blue tie, and blue jeans, showcasing a perfect blend of casual and chic.
To tie everything together, Natalie brought a boutonniere and bouquet that harmonized flawlessly with our winter florals—an exquisite touch that added to the magic of the day! Their cake table setup was not just sweet but also super cute, featuring matching mugs, an adorable cake plate, and some extra goodies that made their celebration uniquely theirs.
Here’s to Natalie and Matt, who turned their long-cherished vision into a beautiful reality! Cheers to love, warmth, and a lifetime of happiness!

From the Bride:

We met on a whim right before the pandemic hit in 2020. We went on our first date to Starbucks and a movie in Easley, SC the night before Natalie’s birthday in February. As the pandemic hit, we found ourselves spending more and more time together as the world paused. So while we started working on projects around our now home, our love started to grow. Neither of us was looking to remarry, but a short 3 years later and we have both found our forever!

For our first date, we had Starbucks and saw a movie… it was a blast… we had talked so much leading up to it we really felt we knew each other (we had chatted almost a month from the time we initially met to when we went out for the first time). Matthew Proposed. He took us up to Pisgah Inn to go look at the leaves on October 23, 2022 and popped the question off of a side trail… I politely reminded him to do it properly… and said YES!

We decided on an East Tennessee wedding because we love the mountains and the scenery! We also wanted to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway and Gatlinburg. We wanted something calming and stress free. Something that fit our personalities and allowed us to be present with one another and God. We chose December 1st because It will be easy for Matthew to remember and UNC was not going to have a home football game. I am looking forward to being together, uniting as one, and cake!

For fun we enjoy projects, coffee runs and going to Hobby Lobby. Also going to UNC football games and escaping on small weekend getaways. We enjoy our walks with our diva of a plott hound Annie and long walks on the beach. We are always trying not to piss off our cats – Atticus and Zoe.
