Traditional Halloween Wedding – Marilyn and Donnie
Traditional Halloween Wedding
Marilyn and Donnie – October 31, 2024
Marilyn and Donnie’s traditional Halloween wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a splendid celebration of tradition with a twist, marking their special day with unique style and color. They chose an unusual yet striking color combination for the chapel fabric, setting a dramatic scene with orange and black, all under the warm flicker of our candle collection.
Marilyn was stunning in a long-sleeved black dress, beautifully accented with a short train. Adding to her distinct bridal look, she wore a black lace-trimmed cape veil that draped elegantly from jeweled clasps on the shoulders of her dress, embodying a gothic elegance that was simply breathtaking. Donnie complemented her perfectly in a classic black tux with tails, brightened by an orange tie and a jeweled tie pin that added a pop of Halloween spirit to his dashing ensemble.
Accessories were key in their celebration; Marilyn carried an orange and black bouquet that vibrated with the theme’s energy, while Donnie’s silver-tipped walking cane and top hat added a touch of vintage flair.
Their friends gathered to join in the festivities, with one friend crafting a stunning black cake that became a centerpiece of the celebration. The day was filled with joyful moments captured around the property—from the mossy tree to the vine-enwrapped archway, each spot provided a perfect backdrop for their photos.
Congratulations, Marilyn and Donnie! Your Halloween wedding beautifully combined tradition with personal style, making it a day to remember. May your life together be as vibrant and filled with love as the colors you chose to celebrate your union!
From the Bride
I was Donnie’s banker and we became friends. After his divorce, we began to date and the rest is history. Our first date was good. We went to see a movies and it was like being with an old flame. We had chemistry from day one that never has wavered. We got along like old lost souls that found one another.
Donnie proposed to me shortly after we started dating. Donnie went with me to a counselors convention in Hot Springs, Virginia. The hotel was stunning and old and beautiful. He took me back two months later and proposed in their ballroom. It was very romantic. We saw pictures from another couple that was married at Chapel in the Hollow and love the look of the location. Honestly on our wedding day we are looking forward to time off and getting to spend some quality time together. We both love Halloween and it is our favorite Holiday.
We both are both working full time and go to school full time. Donnie is going to obtain his teaching degree and I am working on my PhD for clinical mental health. For fun, we love to watch horror films, go study at a local coffee shop together, or snuggle in bed with our cats.
