Spring Weddings at Chapel in the Hollow

March, April, May

Hey! It’s Beth again!

So I LOVE spring!! It is my favorite time of year and, to me, spring weddings are extra bright and beautiful! It feels like new beginnings and fresh starts for everything. I’m also a little partial because spring was when I started at Chapel in the Hollow! Lets get started!

My first Wedding!!

Spring Country Elopement

Oh the weather! Usually the temperature is in the 70s to 80s. Mostly it is comfortable. We do have a small portable fan for the brides if they get a little warm. We can also still use the blankets if it is an extra cold morning wedding. In the hollow, we sometimes get rainstorms in the spring months, but it’s usually a fast or light rain! Don’t worry though; we will always have umbrellas for a quick cover. Also, rain can give us the opportunity for some epic pictures. Wearing the right shoes for this terrain can help make the your special day comfortable and safe! We always suggest flat shoes or wide wedge heels. Boots or Converse tennis shoes have been extra popular lately! We don’t want your stilettos to sink into the mud when getting you to your favorite picture spot.

Please remember that since we are an outside venue, we may not be able to KEEP your white dress super clean! We do everything we can to keep the dress as clean as we can, like holding it up when walking, and we have a Tide pen for a spot emergency (I haven’t needed it yet, but have one just in case).

Heads up… we do have bugs! Mosquitos, spiders, bees/wasps, and ticks. I know, I know so gross. We do try to keep the bugs away by keeping things sprayed! We can provide OFF for the bride and groom, but we suggest having your guest be aware that bugs will happen. We have had the couple give little rolls of Off as wedding favors and I have OFF wipes in my bride bag. We do ask that your guests do NOT wander into the woods. Ticks usually crawl up from the underbrush and lower tree leaves. Our photo spots are pretty well clear for us, so we usually do not take the bride and groom deeper into the woods!
