Simple October Wedding – Caitlin and Rory

Simple October Wedding

Caitlin and Rory October 4, 2024

Caitlyn and Rory celebrated their love with a simple October wedding at Chapel in the Hollow, surrounded by the vibrant hues of autumn. They chose elegant sand fabric to adorn the chapel, perfectly complemented by our lush succulent florals, creating a serene and stylish setting for their special day.
Caitlyn looked stunning in a sleeveless dress, beautifully detailed with colorful embroidery at the waist and along the upper back, adding a unique and vibrant touch to her bridal look. Rory matched the lightness of the day in a sharp light grey suit, embodying classic elegance. Her daughter, the adorable flower girl, twirled in a white and minty green dress, adding a sweet touch of color to the ceremony.
Before walking down the aisle, Caitlyn shared a special moment with her daughter, dancing in the bridal suite to a folksy version of “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen, a heartwarming memory they’ll cherish forever.
Her brother-in-law performed the ceremony with personal flair, and the couple included a meaningful sand ceremony, symbolizing the blending of their lives. After the vows, the celebration continued with family photos, capturing the joy and love shared among their closest loved ones. We then stole away to the forest for some intimate couple photos, embracing the natural beauty surrounding them.
Congratulations, Caitlyn and Rory! Your wedding was not just a celebration of your union but a beautiful expression of family and togetherness. May your life together be as colorful and filled with love as your wedding day!
From the Bride
We met on play dates as children because our moms were best friends. They would take us kids to Chimpy’s Pizza Safari (similar to Chuckee Cheese) so the moms could chat. When we were old enough that the moms could get together without us kids, we stopped seeing each other. We reconnected a couple of years ago and are so thankful for the love that has grown from a childhood friendship. For our first date we met at a local pub for dinner. It was so fun to see each other as adults after so many years had passed. I remember laughing until my cheeks hurt taking about old times, sharing stories of my daughter Wren and our lives all these years later. Rory later shared a journal entry with me that he wrote that night after our date.
Rory proposed to me on a beach in Puerto Rico. We were on a family vacation with my whole family and daughter Wren. Wren was in on the secret and kept it from me the whole time! It was just the three of us on the beach when he proposed. It was so special to have Wren a part of it and to then share and celebrate with family moments after.
We decided to get married in East Tennessee because we love nature, trees, and mountains so it was the perfect place for our wedding. On our wedding day we look forward to sharing our love and commitment, having Wren be a part of it all, and having our closest family and friends there to witness and celebrate with us. We picked this date because Fall is our favorite time of year!
We spend our time together as a family with Wren. Playing whatever silly games she imagines, making art, reading stories, and playing outside together.
