Simple Forest Micro Wedding – Chelsea and Lee

Simple Forest Micro Wedding
Full of Love and Light

Chelsea and Lee – June 11, 2025

When it comes to weddings, sometimes less truly is more. Chelsea and Lee’s simple forest micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was the perfect example of how heartfelt moments, earthy elegance, and intentional simplicity can come together to create something truly magical. Set on a warm, misty late spring afternoon in the Smoky Mountains, their day was filled with emotion, family, and all the beautiful details that matter most.
If you’re dreaming of a peaceful, meaningful micro wedding in the woods, let this be your sign.
A Soft, Romantic Ceremony in the Trees
To complement the natural surroundings, Chelsea and Lee chose dusty sage and cream fabric to dress the chapel, paired with our bohemian florals for a grounded, organic vibe that fit effortlessly among the trees. The color palette was soft and serene, a perfect choice for couples who want to blend their style with the quiet majesty of the forest.
The scene felt like a gentle forest fairytale — intimate, unfussy, and full of heart.
A Bride with Grace and Sentiment
Chelsea wore a stunning spaghetti strap gown from AZAZIE, with an open back and a long, layered train that floated gracefully behind her. Her look was effortlessly elegant, radiating confidence and calm. Her sister helped her get ready — a moment that overflowed with love and care — and she carried a heartfelt tribute to another sister, whose memory was honored with photos included in the day.
She also set up a sweet little cake table with a single-tier cake — a charming and thoughtful way to celebrate in a low-key but lovely fashion. Every element was chosen with meaning, and it showed.
A Groom’s Gentle Style and a Family-Focused Ceremony
Lee wore tan suit pants with a matching vest, a crisp white shirt, and a dusty blue bowtie, pulling together a relaxed yet refined look that perfectly complemented Chelsea and the forest setting. His soft smile and warm demeanor made the ceremony feel even more personal.
Chelsea’s son and daughter walked ahead of her down the aisle, creating a touching family moment that added layers of love and connection to the ceremony. When Lee saw Chelsea for the first time, his smile lit up — and it was clear just how much this moment meant to them both.
They exchanged personal vows, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the trees. Their words were honest and emotional, a reminder of the deep connection that’s often the heart of these intimate gatherings.
Soft Light and Serene Portraits
After some beautiful family photos around the chapel, we ventured up to the highland area for a few couple portraits. The light was soft and dreamy, filtering gently through the spring foliage. But the real magic happened on the way back — Chelsea stepped into a beam of sunlight in the middle of the forest, and the glow around her was absolutely ethereal. Of course, we paused for a few extra portraits in that perfect moment.
Star Noir Studio captured every detail with care and artistry, while Yugen Productions created a visual story on film that will help them relive this day for years to come.
From the Bride
We have a typical girl meets boy on Bumble love story. We instantly clicked and never wanted to be without each other. We went to see Spider Man No Way Home. Lee said he didn’t want any popcorn then continued to eat all of the popcorn. ALL of it…
Lee proposed at a gazebo in our favorite park by the pier near our home. We went for a late night walk before he took me to stand under the gazebo and got on one knee.We wanted a beautiful outdoor wedding where we could enjoy time with our family and East Tennessee was the perfect fit. We are looking forward to finally saying I do of course! For fun we watch movies, listen to music, go for walks.
