Saturday Micro Wedding
Katherine and John – October 14th, 2023
Katherine and John’s love story found its perfect chapter in a Saturday micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow. Their dreamy day was adorned with the timeless elegance of white and gold fabrics, beautifully complemented by our bohemian florals and our gold and mini candle package. The perfect setting for a love as pure as theirs. Katherine was a vision in her strapless dress, graced with a long veil that added an air of classic romance. Meanwhile, John embraced sophistication in his dashing burgundy suit.
To make her entrance even more special, Katherine carried a gorgeous bouquet she crafted herself. It was a testament to the love and care she put into every detail of this remarkable day. The lovebirds exchanged vows, and to the delight of all in attendance, they did it with the company of their two adorable pups.
With their beloved families and friends gathered around, they began this beautiful new chapter of their life’s journey. And what better soundtrack to accompany Katherine’s walk down the aisle with her dad than the theme song from The Princess Bride? A touching and whimsical choice.
Their thoughtful setup included a table filled with all the goodies their cherished guests might need – from celebratory “shout” to bug spray, tissues for happy tears, and even sunscreen. It’s these little touches that made their day even more perfect.
Katherine and John’s wedding was a true reflection of their sweet and fun personalities. Their love story is only beginning, and we can’t wait to see where it takes them.
From the Bride and Groom:
John and Katherine met on the dating app Hinge in February 2020. Katherine was completely out of John’s League and John ghosted her to avoid the shame of being rejected. A year later, they rematched on Hinge, and the rest is history! They met up for their first date at a happy hour at McCormick and Schmicks and John got hit on by several drunk women at the bar. It was a jolly old time and Katherine and John had a wonderful time spilling the tea on what these women said to him.
John proposed to Katherine in their backyard in August 2021. There was a beautiful picnic where John cooked Marry Me Chicken. Katherine has been to Eastern Tennessee one time on vacation and the couple has always wanted a fall wedding. The mountains of Tennessee are the perfect scenery in the fall.
Katherine says she is looking forward to “no longer planning our wedding and being married to my Best Friend”. They are getting married on Saturday the 14th, but Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day for them, and their family is on break from College during October.
For fun, they play video games together, take their dogs to different places, and they love to watch trashy reality television.
