Relaxed Micro Wedding in the Smoky Mountains – Casey and Nicholas
Sweet and Simple:
Relaxed Micro Wedding in the Smoky Mountains
Casey and Nicholas – June 28, 2025
If you’re dreaming of a cozy, no-stress celebration surrounded by nature, Casey and Nicholas’s relaxed micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow is the perfect inspiration. Held on a sunny June day in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, this sweet and sentimental event combined family, simplicity, and thoughtful personal touches — and we were honored to be part of every moment.
A Smoky Mountain Setting for Intimate“I Dos”
Tucked into the forest near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Chapel in the Hollow is designed for couples looking to trade the stress of a big wedding for the serenity of a private, woodland venue. For Casey and Nicholas, it was the perfect place to host their intimate vows. They chose to dress the chapel in hunter green and cream fabric, paired with our lush succulent florals and matching wreaths — creating a fresh, earthy look that felt both peaceful and elegant.
Thoughtful Touches with Personal Meaning
Every element of this relaxed micro wedding was curated with love. Casey and Nicholas added a few sweet DIY details that made the day feel extra personal. Instead of a traditional guest book, they brought a frame where loved ones could sign tiny wooden hearts and drop them in — a keepsake they’ll cherish forever. And for favors? The cutest potted succulents! These doubled as decor and take-home gifts, giving guests something green to grow just like the couple’s love.
A Dress for Comfort + Style
Casey wore a beautiful short-sleeved white dress with no train, ideal for wandering through the woods without worry. Paired with soft waves and natural makeup she did herself, she looked radiant — relaxed, authentic, and glowing with joy. Her jewelry, like many other elements of the day, was ordered from Amazon, proving you don’t need a designer budget to feel like a million bucks.
Nicholas kept it classic with a green dress shirt and Carhartt pants — a nod to their down-to-earth vibe and a look that fit the natural setting perfectly.
Family First
One of the most touching moments of the day was when Casey’s daughter walked her down the aisle — a moment full of love and pride. Their other children played special roles, too, with their daughter as the flower girl and their son proudly taking on the role of“ring security.” These sweet family-focused touches made the ceremony feel truly unique and incredibly meaningful.
Their spiritual ceremony, one of the customizable options offered at Chapel in the Hollow, centered their love and commitment in a peaceful and heartfelt way. Led by officiant Ian Parrott, the ceremony struck the perfect balance of reverence and warmth.
Photography with Forest Vibes
After the ceremony, Star Noir Studio captured stunning portraits of the couple and their family throughout the property — from the wooded trails and vintage truck to the iconic chapel archway. The June sunshine gave every shot a golden glow, and you could see the connection and happiness radiating from every frame.
These weren’t just wedding portraits; they were a celebration of a blended family, a new beginning, and a love story that keeps unfolding with grace and laughter.
A Laid-Back Love Story
At its core, Casey and Nicholas’s day was a beautiful reminder that weddings don’t have to be elaborate to be impactful. With only the people who matter most, some thoughtful details, and the gorgeous natural backdrop of the Smoky Mountains, they created a wedding that felt deeply personal and absolutely perfect.
If you’re considering a relaxed micro wedding, Chapel in the Hollow offers all the tools you need to bring your dream to life — from versatile decor packages to experienced vendors like Custom Love Gifts & Events, who helped bring this day together.
From the Bride:
We met on a dating app! We are the best thing that each other has ever found online! We have been together since the first time we laid eyes on one another and never looked back!
We were both nervous on the first date because we had talked on the phone for a little while before hanging out the first time and both of us were hesitant (but hopeful) to believe that one another was actually real-because from the very beginning the connection was so unbelievably real.
He proposed. We were joking about if we would ever get married or not (I secretly didn’t think would ever ask). He stepped away for a few seconds, came back in the room and got down on one knee and proposed. It totally caught me off guard! It was the sweetest and most genuine moment!
We chose the area for our wedding because we both were born and raised in East TN, and we are most excited about our blended family officially becoming ONE!
We chose the date because it was available to book and was not in a month when we already had something else to celebrate-so we can celebrate our anniversary the whole month of June from now on!
We love to take our family on adventures. We spend lots of time in the mountains. We enjoy a quiet evening on the couch cuddled up with a cold beverage and our favorite show on tv.
