Lisa and Jeremy’s October handfasting at Chapel in the Hollow was a beautifully serene celebration, embraced by the gentle light of the morning sun. They chose blush and burgundy fabric to adorn the chapel, complemented by our succulent florals and a cozy candle package, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for their intimate elopement.
Lisa looked enchanting in a short beige dress featuring a floral overlay and short flowy sleeves, perfectly matched with cranberry pumps that added a pop of vibrant color. Jeremy exuded a relaxed elegance in jeans and a white dress shirt, accented with our succulent pocket boutonniere and a stylish flatcap, blending traditional and casual elements beautifully.
Their ceremony was uniquely theirs, incorporating a handfasting ritual that symbolized their binding together, using a beautifully braided rope adorned with florals. Lisa’s alexandrite ring sparkled with changing colors, while Jeremy’s silver ring featured intricately etched trees, each reflecting their personal styles and the nature-inspired theme of their wedding.
After exchanging vows and completing their handfasting, the newlyweds ventured into the forest and the field surrounding the chapel, where we captured their moments of joy and love against the stunning backdrop of the Smoky Mountains in fall.
Congratulations, Lisa and Jeremy! Your handfasting ceremony was a gorgeous reflection of your love and commitment to each other, set in a perfect autumn morning. Here’s to a future filled with as much peace and beauty as your wedding day!
From the Bride:
We met on Plenty of Fish. We had an awkward first date in the middle of the week while we both had a free night. Lisa had a no kissing till the 3rd date rule, but Jeremy broke that on the second date.
Jeremy planned a large family vacation to Disney World and Universal. The proposal happened at Universal in front of Hogwarts Castle. Lisa is a huge Harry Potter fan.
We chose East Tennessee for our October handfasting because of a mutual love of the mountains.
