Family-Focused Late October Micro Wedding
Amanda and Aaron – October 25, 2025
A Smoky Mountain Celebration Full of Butterflies, Blended Love, and Heartfelt Moments
When a couple chooses their venue before they’re even officially engaged, you know it’s meant to be — and that’s exactly how it was for Amanda and Aaron.
Long before they said “yes” or “I do,” they knew they wanted to say it all at Chapel in the Hollow — and their late October micro wedding turned out to be a perfect reflection of their love, their family, and their unique style. 🍂💍
Planning Their Smoky Mountain Wedding Dream
Late October in East Tennessee is a dream for fall weddings — golden leaves, crisp air, and soft, glowing light. Amanda and Aaron embraced the season with a palette of teal and rust, blending bold jewel tones with earthy autumn warmth.
They dressed the chapel in flowing teal and rust fabric, then added their own florals to complement the color scheme. The bold draping contrasted beautifully with the surrounding woods, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere that felt both stylish and grounded in nature. 🌿✨

A Bride with Butterfly Details and Heart
Amanda looked absolutely stunning in a long-sleeved gown with a medium train from David’s Bridal, paired with delicate details that made her style uniquely hers. Her hair was styled half-up, framing her face beautifully, and her look included subtle butterfly touches throughout — in her bouquet, her necklace, and even the wedding invitations.
🦋 These little nods to transformation and grace made everything feel a little extra magical.
And let’s not forget the shoes — Amanda rocked stylish yet comfortable options from Amazon and Kohl’s, because forest weddings should feel amazing and look amazing. 🥰
A Ceremony that Blended Love and Family
Amanda and Aaron’s wedding wasn’t just about two people coming together — it was about five.
Their children played central roles in the ceremony, making it an emotional and heartfelt moment for everyone in attendance.
-
💛 Her eldest son walked her down the aisle
-
🌸 Her daughter served as the flower girl
-
💍 Her youngest son was the ring security officer (serious cuteness alert!)
-
🏝 Together, the couple and all three children took part in a sand ceremony, symbolizing the blending of their lives into one family
This simple act of unity — each person pouring a different color of sand into a single glass vessel — is such a beautiful metaphor. It’s a popular option for families combining households, and it looked absolutely stunning in the chapel’s rustic woodland setting. And then there was Elroy, Aaron’s service dog. This gentle soul lay patiently at his feet during the entire ceremony, a silent but powerful presence in the couple’s love story. 🐾💙
From Vows to Portraits — A Beautiful October Day
Following their afternoon ceremony, we took family photos in front of the chapel before heading to some of Chapel in the Hollow’s favorite photo spots — the mossy tree, the log circle, and the open field with views of the mountains.
The midday light filtered through the autumn trees with a soft, golden glow, adding just the right touch of drama and warmth to every portrait. 📸✨
Captured by Star Noir Studio, Amanda and Aaron’s photos feel like a visual storybook — one full of deep love, family connection, and the beauty of choosing each other again and again.
From the Bride:
We met through Facebook dating in April 2024. I was honestly over the site and about to delete it once I returned home from a work trip in Washington, DC. Aaron sent me a message, and I gave it one last chance. God truly intervened.
We first met in person on 05/25/24 at cheddar’s in Franklin, TN. Both were extremely nervous. Aaron’s service dog, Elroy, actually led him in the wrong direction when being seated. I had to go find them! 🤣 After that, we talked and ate. Had a lot in common. So decided to give love another chance after both coming out of rough previous relationships.
Aaron proposed on 01/11/25 at the discovery center walking trail in Murfreesboro, TN. It was where we first started falling in love. It actually snowed the night before. It was cold, memorable and perfect ❤️ there were even a few ducks still hanging around in the snow! 🤣
East Tennessee is absolutely beautiful. Especially in the fall. We actually found Chapel in the Hollow online before we were even engaged. We loved it and it was meant to be!
I’m most looking forward to starting my forever with my best friend.
Aaron loves numbers. We love fall so that was always definite. The 5/25 is our anniversary. So we wanted to keep the day special and memorable.
For fun, we love to watch movies and go out to eat. Definitely foodies! Talking. Aaron talks to Amanda every day during her long commute from Lebanon to Nashville. Love our combined 4 children. Looking forward to traveling and doing life together. ❤️
