Drizzly Fall Wedding – Caitlyn and Aaron

Caitlyn and Aaron – November 12, 2022

Drizzly Fall Wedding

Caitlyn and Aaron joined us for a drizzly fall wedding. They dressed the chapel in champagne and sand fabric with our white florals. She looked effortlessly elegant in her illusion sleeve dress, and he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. They brought one of our previous couples back to us — Brooke and Zack from November of 2019. These two were so much fun! Congratulations, Caitlyn and Aaron!!
From the Bride:
Aaron and I met funnily enough through a “mutual friend” who he used to date, whom happened to be a close friend at the time. We talked on and off for months and fell off while I was in college. He messaged me randomly after I became a nurse about a medical problem and we just fell right back into talking again. He asked me on a date and I went, not really thinking much into it. And here we are 4 years later!
Our official first date was at iHop probably 6 or so years ago! Our first date from the beginning of our serious (current) relationship was at Outback Steakhouse. He picked me up from my house, drove me there, and of course, paid for dinner. We clicked so easily this time around, even though I wasn’t expecting anything from it! We actually ended up getting FroYo afterward and we hung out for hours that night. And the rest is history!
Aaron proposed to me on July 10th, 2021. He had actually planned originally to take me to the mountains later that year and propose there, but he couldn’t help himself after he bought the ring and ended up telling some family members out of excitement and later realized they wouldn’t be able to keep quiet for long. So, with the help of his best friend and his wife (also my best friend, now), they threw together a proposal at Olive Garden right before dinner. He posed like he wanted to take a picture with me outside before we went in and somehow snuck the ring out and dropped to one knee before I even realized what was going on. I had absolutely no idea!!!
Like I said, he originally planned to propose in the mountains in Gatlinburg! Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge was our first ever real couples trip and we wanted to come back and celebrate for our honeymoon. We were originally going to have a large wedding here in SC, but after thinking more into it, I realized a big wedding was not “us” at all and opted to search for a smaller venue/elopement spot. Our best friends, Zack and Brooke Barwick, got married at Chapel at the Hollow a few years ago. After hearing all the good things about the Chapel, we had pretty much made up our minds to get married there!
I am looking forward to the look on Aaron’s face when we finally see each other on the aisle, for sure! We’ve been so excited about this day for so long and we’re so ecstatic it’s finally about to happen!
For fun, honestly, we’re both HUGE homebodies. Our ideal date night is a wine and movie night at home (or just binge-watching TV shows)! We also love hosting game night at our house with all of our friends!
