Unique Smoky Mountain Weddings – Bride on a Budget

Star Noir Studio collaborated with the amazing Jennifer Dukes from Knox Occasions to show how a plus size bride on a budget can still put together a gorgeous wedding.

From Jennifer… In this shoot we used gold plastic silverware and you can’t even tell a difference. We used plates from the Hearth and Home collection from target to show that you can use items the newlyweds would be able to reuse in their home post wedding. For the greenery we used moss from the woods surrounding us, saving us hundreds on floral cost although we did splurge for a gorgeous bouquet from Melissa Timm Designs. We purchased pottery barn tablecloths to be able to be reused by the newly weds. The main focus on budget savvy is to be able to repurpose the items following the event when possible. You can save tons of money using rentals, but you can also save tons of money by buying the items you intend to use for the wedding and reception to reuse after the wedding. We used inexpensive but adorable coffee wedding favors from Millstone Crafted along with their coordinating invitations. The amazing gown came from the Gilded Gown and is a fun twist on the traditional wedding dress that would make any plus size woman look extra fabulous. The groom’s outfit came from Target making our male model look super sexy for very little output. Southern Sirens provided hair and makeup (an excellent splurge for any bride) that gave our model that little extra oomph. She had her lashes done a few days before by Whiplash Studio–a gift every bride should give themselves that will last long after the ceremony. The venue, Chapel in the Hollow, offers the wall with florals included with the regular rental fee, and you could can get an hour for approximately 25 people including your photography and officiant for only $750–it’s a perfect place for nature lovers to have their intimate wedding or elopement. Mandie Bakes created the luxurious wedding cake, and we brought in two spectacular rental pieces from Vintage Inspirations to give it a wow factor.
