Richard and Ellen’s Wedding April 6, 2019

Richard and Ellen chose a gorgeous day for a ceremony! The sun made the forest glow and set off our bride and groom perfectly. Congratulations, Ellen and Richard!
From the bride:
Richard and I worked together in the Operating Room at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. We became friends and eventually started dating. For our first date, we met for dinner at Taco Mac and afterwards went out for drinks at a local bar. We ended up dancing the night away and having a wonderful time. We both said it was the best first date we had ever had.
Richard proposed. We had gone to see Kevin Hart. It was 11:45pm on the way home, and Richard insisted we stop at Romare Bearden Park, a small park in the heart of the city of Charlotte, NC. I was confused as to why we were stopping at a park so late at night but went with it anyways. We walked around for a couple of minutes before stopping in front of a stone wall with several lighted fountains in front of it. It was beautiful. Richard suggested that we take a picture in front of the wall. Ironically, Richard spotted another couple walking through the park and asked them if they would take our picture. (I later found out he also told them he was proposing and asked if they’d take tons of pictures haha). Fast forward, we were taking pictures then all of a sudden, he got down on one knee!
We wanted a small wedding, with just our immediate family and daughter present. We stumbled across Chapel in the Hollow while searching online for a small, intimate venue. Having a relaxing day filled with intimacy and love. We want everyone to feel happy and just enjoy the simplicity of the Chapel and its surroundings.
We enjoy spending time with our daughter and taking her to do fun things. We go to dinner, watch movies, go out with our friends, and both really enjoy music. Richard loves collecting shoes while I enjoy splurging on activities.
